World Biodiversity Summit
World Biodiversity Summit – Sharm el-Sheikh takes place on 15 November during COP27. The Summit is a platform that will convey commitments, highlight bold leadership and investments, build cross-sectoral partnerships and develop initiatives for bridging climate and biodiversity, facilitating the task force for nature-related financial disclosures (TNFD). The theme is: Accelerating Public-Private Partnerships, Innovations and Investments for Nature.
This second-year Summit serves as a global forum for investment-driven solutions to the biodiversity crisis and will attract global representatives including institutional investors, financiers, policymakers and government leaders, technology and project developers, agricultural and infrastructure agents, experts in the biodiversity field and leading international organisations.
At World Biodiversity Summit – Sharm el-Sheikh, you can expect high-level panel discussions on themes such as sustainable forest management, ocean conservation, how to develop nature-positive agricultural systems and the importance of bold leadership for tackling biodiversity loss.
