Nature Finance at COP17
Nature Finance in the Netherlands Pavilion
At COP17 in Yerevan, the Netherlands Pavilion will host a Nature Finance Programme, bringing together governments, financial institutions, businesses, knowledge institutions, NGOs and international partners. The programme provides a platform to exchange perspectives, share practical experience and explore how finance can contribute to the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
Across a diverse programme of sessions, participants will discuss topics ranging from biodiversity finance plans and private finance to harmful incentives, measurement, investment and the wider economic transition needed to achieve nature-positive outcomes.
We invite you to explore the programme, join the conversations and connect with the organisations and initiatives shaping the future of nature finance.
The Netherlands Pavilion aims to create connections and ideas that extend beyond COP17 and contribute to lasting action for biodiversity.
IDFB19 session preparing for COP17
Ahead of COP17, the Interface Dialogue Finance & Biodiversity (IDFB) hosted its 19th international dialogue session (IDFB19), bringing together representatives from governments, financial institutions and other stakeholders. The session focused on accelerating the implementation of the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, with particular attention to reforming biodiversity-harmful incentives and redirecting financial flows towards nature-positive outcomes. Discussions contributed to the preparations for COP17 and provided input to the Yerevan Call on Positive Incentives. Further details and key outcomes will be shared in the Dialogues section.
